Join me for an immersive live painting demonstration in Pittsfield, MA, during theFirst Fridays Artswalk! I'll be demonstrating my unique oil glazing technique at Palace Park from 5-8pm, where you can see firsthand how I bring my paintings to life layer by layer. This event is part of the vibrant First Fridays Artswalk, and I'm excited to share my process with you.
Unlike traditional methods, where glazing is used sparingly, I push the boundaries by applying, on average, 30 layers of semi-transparent paint throughout each piece. This technique creates a mesmerizing effect, with light seeming to emanate from within the painting, allowing for exquisite control over gradients and depth. Come see how light and color blend to create a luminous, captivating visual experience.
My work will also be featured in the Out of the Studio exhibition at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, along with the other studio artists of the Lichtenstein Center: Mario Caluori, Rick Casucci, Maru Dominguez, Peg Dotchin, Jim Horsford, Sean McCusker, Nicole Rizzo, Jesse Tobin McCauley, and Michael Vincent Bushy.
