A few artists and I are opening our own gallery in North Adams, MA, close to MASS MoCA! The gallery will be opening June 1st, 2024, with opening receptions every month. We hope to have guest artists for future openings, but it is all us for this first show! Although I have been showing off a lot of new work recently, I am making a series of silver pen pieces specific for this opening, so please come see the new work and help us celebrate this new space!
Gallery North is the newest Art Gallery to open in North Adams at 9 Eagle Street. The Opening Reception is Saturday June 1st 4-7pm with regular daily hours Monday to Friday 3-7pm, Saturday 1-6pm and Sunday 1-4pm.
Marilyn Cavallari lives in Williamstown. She is a contemporary landscape and seascape artist. She works with delicate strokes on several paintings simultaneously, distributing to each canvas her choice of bright and joyful colors.
Ghetta Hirsch offers a visual conversation on Nature. She composes vivid landscapes, observing the patterns of forms and colors on fields, mountains and water. Her “Abstract Realism” style relates calm and serenity to the meditative viewers.
Sean McCusker has been creating surreal landscapes inspired by the hilly Berkshires for over 20 years. His oil paintings, full of light and color, are built up slowly with an average of 30 thin transparent layers giving the effect of light emitting from the canvas.
Mallory Rich, a resident of Sandgate, VT has paintings in pastels and oils with her focus on rural VT, eastern New York and coastal Maine. She was a finalist in American Magazine’s 30th Annual National Competition. She paints small moments in the landscape often unnoticed in our busy days.
“That is exactly who we are and what we do” says Marilyn Cavallari, owner/director of Gallery North on quaint Eagle Street, North Adams, MA. Come and join us Monday-Friday 3-7, Saturday 1-6 and Sunday 1-4.
